London Design Festival 2016 Highlights
London Design Festival 2016 was a great celebration of design. Our team at Rachel Winham Interior Design had a brilliant week exploring Decorex, Focus and 100% Design – see some of our highlights below.
Decorex was a highlight of LDF for us, a great opportunity to find new as well as established designers from around the world. From handmade furniture pieces, decorative lighting pendants to discovering new textures and patterns, we were inspired with beautiful pieces which are expertly designed to include in our schemes. In particular, we loved the herringbone copper display from Ted Todd Fine Wood Floors and Sicis: The Art Mosaic Factory.
Our second stop as part of the fantastic London Design Festival 2016 trail was Focus. Focus celebrates the collections of the 120 design showrooms based in the Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour. The Tatler Salt Yard’s pop up restaurant was another highlight in the Harbour serving delicious tapas treats for all throughout the evening.
100% Design was a display of dynamic textures, materials and prints. We find that having a mixture of tones and textures adds dynamics to your interiors. From marble flooring to metallic wall art discovered at 100% Design, we found eclectic unique pieces which would sit perfectly in our projects.
